Wednesday was a success!
Well, mostly a success.
So my Wednesday was pretty much a wash, the eye apt was in fact yesterday and not Tuesday as they'd called to tell me Monday. Then it turns out they told me to be there an hour earlier than I needed to be. Hung out, looked at frames / played with phone. Eye dilation; a weekend of horror stories it turns out; my eyes do not get all weird and whatever nor was I motion sick as a result.
In fact: even though I was certain there were some problems that would crop up, it turned out to be worrying for nothing as my eyes have still tested as "perfect" and the photo of the inside / back of the eyes was excellent quality too and revealed there are no problems for me to worry about there.

Turns out: No glasses for me.
Went home and made some tea, turned on Gotham and laid on my bed for a few hours while my eyes got rid of those blasted drops they put into you. Now it wasn't "Real Oregon Rain" yesterday, but it was wet enough I did not want to spend the rest of the day outside in it. My lungs have been pretty congested lately sometimes doubling up on treatments to keep things clear and it was no exception when I got back. I'm thinking environmental stuff is at work because since water started falling my breathing has been less problematic. OR it could be that I vacuumed my room out and it was exceedingly dusty. ( See : CF patients with fans and open windows ) there is carpet throughout the house, I hate carpet. Give me good honest hardwood any day. Hell stone / tile; bamboo !
My culinary masterpieces continue to keep me well fed while I'm without food stamps, and that's next on my list of things to do; reapply and continue rolling out job apps. In the meantime piecemeal labor for friends and wood working are the marching orders. Sold my Cadians off, and we shall not know their like again.
The other day ( Tuesday ) Karen came over to work on her Titanic themed / era dress for the Time Traveler's ball which is Sat, and due to weinerdog related obligations I am unable to attend this year compounding my sadness as I would have finally had something worthy to be seen in. I suppose this means that I need to just keep working on my costume supplies. There are lots of things I"d like to build now.
Projects for my Steampunk costuming needs:
GAITORS: Black Canvas or leather
HATS ( several different styles ) I want to rebuild my "Tall hat" but make it more resplendent among other things.
GLOVES ( a couple of different types )
SCABBARD w/ dagger / bayonet holder built in. Wood clad in either tough canvas cloth or leather.
Thinking about some adornment for the scabbard too.
Eventually I want to build a sidearm, and a couple of different long arms for various events, they should be beautiful and very excellent working order.
That's about all for now.
Got some writing project work to do in free time at night.
